On December 27thOmer Chechek Katz, counselor for economics, energy and the environment of the Israeli Embassy in Russia visited IPACS RANEPA.

Deans of faculties and deputy deans for international affairs, as well as employees of international divisions, took part in the negotiations.

At the meeting, Larisa Taradina, director for the Development of International Education and Cooperation of the International Development Department RANEPA, spoke about the main trends in international cooperation and new projects of the Presidential Academy, and also noted that cooperation with Israel is one of the most promising directions.

Karolina Sikirinskaya, head of the International Cooperation Department IPACS, made a detailed presentation about international activities Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service RANEPA, noting new projects for the short and long term. Separately, the presentation highlighted projects aimed at developing student leadership, as well as key areas of training direction for faculties. “We consider cooperation between our countries an important step towards establishing a common educational space,” she said.

Tatyana Panova, dean of the Faculty of International and Regional research, noted that it is very important for students to have the opportunity to study foreign regions of specialization not only with the help of a theoretical base, but also to have the opportunity to practice traveling abroad, noting the importance of joint interaction between Russia and Israel. “Our students study several foreign languages, as well as special country modules that allow them to better study the history, culture and administrative structure of foreign countries.”

Vladimir Silkin, dean of the Faculty of Journalism, emphasized that in the modern world it is necessary to establish new educational ties and strengthen interaction with partners from other countries. The dean of the faculty also mentioned the practical training of applicants within the framework of the “School of a Young Journalist” project and the practice-oriented programs of the faculty, expressing hope for further fruitful cooperation between the student communities of the two states.

After the working meeting, the delegation of the Israeli Embassy had a tour in the central building of the Academy. Mr. Omer Chechek Katz was able to see the infrastructure and the library of the RANEPA, where rare editions of the library fund were demonstrated. The diplomat was spoken about various historical facts related to these books. In addition, he got acquainted with the educational process at IPACS RANEPA.
