On November 16, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Panama to the Russian Federation Rolando Enrique Barrow visited the Presidential Academy and held a special lecture for students on the historical, cultural, political and economic features of the Republic of Panama.
The Ambassador raised questions regarding Russian-Panamanian economic cooperation, cultural similarities between Russian and Panamanian societies, and the environmental agenda.
Student of the IPACS RANEPA asked the Ambassador how to become a diplomat and an expert in the field of international relations. Rolando Enrique Barrow noted that a successful career as a diplomat and any international specialist is based on respect and tolerance for different cultures of the world, desire to learn new things and develop. In addition, as the Ambassador noted, it is important to be open to communication and interaction with the world.
The Ambassador expressed hope for strengthening cooperation between Russia and Panama in the field of education, including holding expert discussions, lectures, round tables, workshops at the Academy site with the active participation of the Embassy.
