On September 17, the members of «IPACS Interclub» of the IPACS International Cooperation Department together with a foreign student from France took a walking tour through Moscow.

Noemie Le Liboux hails from the Catholic University of the Vendée and is presently studying International Regional Studies and Regional Management, on a Double Diploma programme titled «Russia — Europe: political and geopolitical research» (a Russo-French programme).

From the beginning of the foreign students’ education, IPACS Interclub takes it upon themselves to organize a socio-cultural programme for them. A guided tour of Moscow was the first event that they happily arranged for the French student, who has become a part of the IPACS RANEPA family for the coming year. The tour started at VDNH (Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy), afterwards the students headed toward the Fountain of «Friendship of Peoples».
«I’ve been here last year, but this is a place I’d come back to time and time again,» — says Noemie.

During their walk, the members of Interclub discovered many new things about Noemie and the cultural traits of Russia and France. Noemie in turn learned of many Russian traditions and, specifically, of various exclusive expressions that are regularly used by students. Noemie too taught IPACS students some French words and phrases which could be useful when in France.

Daniil Konotop (IPACS Interclub member, 2nd year student of «Economy and Management with extensive study of foreign languages and economic sciences» programme) shared his impressions of the tour: «This was my first walk with a foreign student, and I can say that it was very interesting! First, we discussed stereotypes. After that, we honestly talked about everything: education, movies, Moscow architecture. I especially enjoyed the feeling of teamwork — when someone couldn’t remember some word in English, we always came to help with translation. We quickly became friends, although this was my first time meeting some people in the Club. The already mentioned Moscow architecture even saved us from rain: the Entrance Ark at VDNH provided shelter. This has been a great day!»

We wish Noemie Le Liboux success in her studies at IPACS RANEPA!

Welcome!
